Welcome to the site of Clevedon & Portishead Armchair Modellers (CLAPHAM). Clapham is the name we have given to the collaboration of modelling efforts between John Anderson and Paul Taylor. The two have been modelling and exhibiting on the circuit for over 25 years, assisting with each other’s layouts for the best part of 10 years and have been regular demonstrators at Warley and ModelRail Scotland exhibitions.

On this site you will be able to find details of our various layouts, demonstrations, projects and more. For regular updates/info see our Facebook page.

We are always keen to exhibit or demonstrate at exhibitions far and wide. Please contact us for further details.

NEW NEWS: 23 Apr - After a period of lockdown hiatus, next weekend sees CLAPHAM well and truely getting back on the exhibition circuit again. We are pleased to be attending the Wales & West/Warners Bristol Exhibition in Thornbury with an 18' demo of "Modern Modelling". This will have Ashton Meadows & Harchester micro layouts supporting a display of completed and under construction models. John will be working on a number of rolling stock conversions/builds and Paul will be using the Silhouette Cutter to create the parts for a French rail-served distribution depot (the final element of the Venterol-Rousset scenic alternative for Pottendorf aheadof its debut at the Burnham Show in August). It is also hoped tobe able to show the completed Exmouth Junction Engine shed model, which was a feature of demos pre-lockdown, before it moves to its new home. We will then be off to Portsmoth the following weekend with Devonport Road and up to Perth in June with Dovington Camp. Full details on the exhibition diary page. Please come along and say hello.
